Overview

We are looking for people to join the Working Together Group to help review and improve Adult Social Care.


Aims

When you join the group, you will:

  • Help shape and co-produce services
  • Meet new people
  • Review strategies
  • Share experiences

The group will review services across adult social care, through activities such as:

  • Mystery shopping
  • Job shadowing
  • Examining performance data

Meetings

The group has a flexible approach to meetings, you don't need to attend every meeting and can attend face-to-face, or virtually.

To make sure we meet people's different needs we will:

  • Hold meetings and events in accessible locations so everyone can attend
  • Provide translation or interpretation if your first language is not English
  • Cater for different dietary or religious requirements
  • Hold meetings outside of normal working hours

Progress so far

So far the group have been working on:

  • Providing feedback and reviewing the Accommodation Strategy and the newly developed Assistive Technology Strategy
  • Some of the group visited Your Voice Counts drop in Jarrow, to promote what the Working Together Group do
  • Reviewing the "Let's Talk Team" and helping to shape Let's Talk information for the website
  • The group are currently co-producing a new "self-assessment form" and helping to develop the process sitting behind this form
