What they offer
New Start is an employability programme that creates 5 month paid placements within local businesses in the South Tyneside area.
New Start jobs provide real work experience in career starter roles, with no experience necessary. Recruitment for the roles are fully supported by Employability Advisors; roles are brand new and created by organisations specifically for the programme.
The programme works with businesses to break down traditional barriers, such as removing online application processes, competency based interviews; and making sure customers who would not normally have access to roles - are offered an opportunity to be seen and heard.
Green Horizons aims to create opportunities in the emerging 'green' sector - to gain invaluable insight and experience in preparation for the roles of the future.
Customers will have a wraparound pre-employment support package, including Health and Safety and CSCS cards for those moving into the 'green' roles, to get them 'on the job' ready.
The customers will continue to be supported by an Employability Advisor throughout their placement, to make sure they get the most out of their experience, they're supported to gain a qualification and help them to succeed past the end of the placement.
