Trow Point (walking for wellbeing)

Meet us at the Word for a gentle ramble down to the sea front.

Full description of walk
Our route to Trow Point will take us by the edge of Westoe Cemetery and through the Bents Recreation Ground. We will then walk along the sea front past the amphitheatre before returning to the town centre via the South Marine Park.

Terrain
Mostly good footpaths (concrete or tarmac) but the last small section up to Trow Rocks is on grass and sand. There are some moderately steep paths within the South Marine Park.

South Shields Interchange (bus and metro) is only a 5 minute walk from The Word. The ferry landing is only 3 minutes away.
