Are you new to Year 6 or need a refresher in the writing standards?  KS2 Moderation highlighted the need for all Year 6 teachers to have a good understanding of what writing standards at WTS, EXS & GDS should look like and what skills the children need to develop across the year.

Expected Impact on Schools:

• Participants will become familiar with and increase their understanding of subject knowledge in the Year 6 writing curriculum
• Understand what the strands within the assessment outcomes actually mean and how this can be taught & evidenced
• Become familiar with exemplification materials and how to use these to support children's writing
• Gain awareness of the administrative procedures in respect of the National Curriculum assessment process
• Become familiar with the KS2 moderation process in South Tyneside schools
