Content:

• Background and research of the REAL programme
• An understanding of the four strands of literacy
• An understanding of the ORIM framework within literacy
• Including parents into the REAL programme through events and home visits
• Supporting parents of SEND

Expected Impact on School/Setting:

Practitioners will:

• have a good understanding of the REAL programme and its impact on children's literacy development
• feel confident to deliver the REAL programme in their settings and with parents

Target Group:

• Teachers and Support Staff in Nursery and Reception classes
• Practitioners from Private and Voluntary settings
