Extra Market for Bank Holiday Monday

South Shields Market will be open for an extra day this Bank Holiday Monday (31 May).

The Market will be operating from 9am to 3pm.

Covid measures are in place to help keep visitors and traders safe, including barriers, signage, a one-way system with separate entrance and exit points, sanitising stations and stewards.

Visitors to the Market are encouraged to continue to follow the Government's national guidance around Hands, Face, Space and Fresh Air.

South Shields Market also operates on:

  • Fridays, 9.30am to 3pm (Flea Market)
  • Saturdays, 9am to 4pm (Traditional Market)
