Content:

The programme will consist of 3 face-to-face sessions this term focused on evidence and reflecting on practice within school:

  • Exploration of evidence available around social emotional learning.
  • Exploration of tools and processes to explore school culture and practices.
  • Guidance on effective implementation and opportunities to plan for positive and sustained change.

Session 1:  Reflection on current practice and exploring quality research evidence to support school improvement.

Session 2:  Exploration of the culture in school and exploring quality research evidence to support school improvement.

Session 3:  Exploration of key school priorities and consideration of potential action research projects

There will then be 3 follow up sessions focused on the individual implementation of the school improvement research project later in the academic year.

 

Expected Impact on School:

  • Staff develop an understanding of current educational research.
  • Staff develop an individual school action research project focused on improving SEL in school and/or wellbeing.
  • Staff explore a range of tools and strategies to lead and implement change.

 

Target Group:

  • Senior leaders, heads of departments or key stage leaders from all educational settings
  • Attendees will need a deep understanding of their school/setting and have the authority to afford change within

Session 1: 12th October 2023              

Session 2: 7th November 2023            

Session 3: 30th November 2023                      

(NB attendance is required at all three sessions)
