Mayor's Charity Night Marks End of Summer

South Tyneside residents can enjoy an end-of-summer party while helping to raise cash for good causes at a special Mayor's Charity fundraising event taking place next month.

The Mayor and Mayoress of South Tyneside, Councillor Pat Hay and Jean Copp, are hosting the charity evening on Friday 2 September, from 7pm until late, at the Little Haven Hotel in South Shields.

Tickets cost £25 each and include a barbecue, disco and fundraising activities.

Money raised from the evening will go to the Mayor's Charity, which is supporting The Custom's House and Cancer Connections, among others.

The Mayor said: "This is set to be to a fantastic evening and a wonderful opportunity for people to get together with friends, family or work colleagues and helping to raise money for worthwhile local causes.

"It is just one of a number of events to help raise funds for my chosen charities. The money collected will make such a huge difference to these incredible organisations and the valuable work they do in South Tyneside."
