About this course
This training course is for those who work with children who may be subject to Child Protection Procedures or contribute towards their care.
The aim of the course is to assist participants in understanding how to apply a strengths-based approach within the Child Protection process.
Participants will also develop an understanding of their own role and responsibilities as well as those of others across the partnership.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of the session participants will be able to:
- Understand the roles and responsibilities of the multi-agency partnership working in Child Protection
- Understand the role of the individual in the Conference process in relation to decision making using a strengths based approach
- Understand multi-agency key responsibilities for children and families involved in the Child Protection Conference process
- Contribute to a 'SMART' outcome focused plan which is developed within the Conference
- Value the contribution of multi-agency working and challenge when appropriate
