Overview

Community First North East provide a range of vocational courses to study with Maths, English and added non-accredited qualifications.


What is on offer

You will study one vocational course alongside Maths, English and added non-accredited qualifications which will enhance your employability skills in key topics such as budgeting, healthy living, politics and current affairs.

You will also have the opportunity to complete shorter qualifications in areas such as mental health and stress awareness.

Vocational courses:

  • Childcare
  • Teaching and learning
  • Health and social care
  • Occupational studies

You will study at Chichester House in South Shields for 16 hours per week between 9.30am and 3pm. 

You may be eligible for a bursary which will be discussed with you once you apply.

You will also be supported with finding appropriate childcare if needed.

Following your study programme, you could progress into:

  • Higher level qualifications in your vocational area
  • Higher education
  • Employment
