South Tyneside Council (Anderson Street, South Shields Electric Vehicle Charging Bays) Order 2024

South Tyneside Council proposes to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers.

The effect of the Order will be to:

  • Introduce limited waiting electric vehicle recharging only at any time on any day 3 hours no return within 4 hours (two bays) on Anderson Street, South Shields the southwest side from a point 41 metres from its junction with Beach Road south westwards for a distance of 12 metres.

The Order will also amend:

  • Limited waiting 2 hours, no return within 4 hours, Mondays to Fridays 9.00 am to 5.00 pm in relation to Anderson Street, South shields the southwest side from a point 25 metres south east of its junction with Beach Road in a south eastwards then south westwards direction to its junction with Broughton Road to read Anderson Street, South Shields, the southwest side from a point 25 metres southeast of its junction with Beach Road south eastwards for a distance of 41 metres and max number of parking bays as 7.

Full details of these proposals are contained in the draft order which, together with a plan showing the length of road affected and a statement of the Council's reasons for proposing to make the Order, may be inspected from Monday to Friday during normal office hours at the Town Hall at the address below.
