South Tyneside Council(A184 Sunderland Road Area, East Boldon) Order 2024

South Tyneside Council proposes to make an Order under Section 84 of and Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers.

The effect of the Order will be to reduce the 50MPH Speed Restrictions on  Sunderland Road, East Boldon from a point 200.5 metres east of its eastern junction with Natley Avenue in a south easterly direction to the Borough's boundary with Sunderland City (being an approximate distance of 1160 metres) to a 40MPH Speed Restriction.

Full details of these proposals are contained in the draft order which, together with a plan showing the lengths of road affected and a statement of the Council's reasons for proposing to make the Order, may be inspected from Monday to Friday during normal office hours at the Town Hall at the address below.
